01 / GET TO KNOW ISP
Start with the school.
Then imagine the school day.
The International School @ ParkCity is an international school in Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur. Opened in 2011, it offers a British-based learning pathway through to AS and A-Levels. For a relocating family, the useful question is not just “Is it nearby?” but “Does the curriculum, support and daily routine fit my child?”1216
A home in Desa ParkCity is not a school-place guarantee. Confirm the year group and admissions outcome with ISP before committing to a home specifically for school access.
02 / THE LEARNING JOURNEY
One journey. Different stages.
Tap a stage to explore. The ages below refer to age on 1 September 2026, not a direct conversion from another country’s grade system. Final placement is decided by the school.
Nursery & Reception · Ages 3–4 at entry
A confident start through play
The Early Years Centre uses the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Purposeful play, language, movement and social development sit alongside early literacy and numeracy. Children explore indoor and outdoor spaces rather than following a purely desk-based day.319
Make your school visit count
For your visit: ask about settling-in, toileting, communication with parents and how English beginners are supported.
Danny can help you bring the right questions to ISP.
What does a class look like?
ISP publishes typical sizes of 20 in Nursery, 22 in Reception, and 24 from Year 1 onwards; IGCSE and A-Level groups are often smaller. Early Years and Primary classes have a lead teacher and a full-time classroom assistant. These are typical figures, not guaranteed caps. Ask for your child’s actual class size.
03 / PLAN THE BUDGET
The fee. And the full picture.
A new enrolment involves more than tuition. Explore published 2026/27 fees, then separate recurring costs, one-time charges and the refundable deposit. All amounts are in Malaysian ringgit (RM).

Important fees & concessions
Application & registration
The application fee is RM1,500. New-entry registration is RM2,000 for Nursery/Reception, RM20,000 for Years 1–11, and RM10,000 for Years 12–13. Both charges are non-refundable. Reception students progressing to Year 1 have a published RM10,000 registration top-up.8
Deposit & payment rhythm
A refundable deposit equals one term’s tuition and is adjusted annually. It is not tuition paid in advance. Tuition is invoiced termly before each term; deposit refunds follow the school’s enrolment terms and withdrawal rules.8
DPC registration concession
The fees page offers a 25% registration waiver to eligible Desa ParkCity residents and property owners with documentary proof. It also describes a first-academic-year move-in route, with the registration concession credited to a future invoice after verification. This is not 25% off annual tuition.9
Siblings & annual payment
For siblings enrolled concurrently, the third child receives 25% off registration and 5% off tuition; the fourth and later children receive 50% and 10%. No second-child concession is listed. A separate 3% tuition discount requires full annual payment before the academic year starts. Ask whether discounts can be combined.8
Before SST is not the final invoice
The 2026/27 schedule excludes SST and states that annual school fees above RM60,000 are subject to 6% SST. The calculator does not calculate tax: ask ISP for an itemised, tax-inclusive quotation covering applicable charges, exemptions and discount treatment. Do not assume tax applies only to the amount above RM60,000.

A newer primary chapter
ISP inaugurated its new primary campus on 20 February 2024. The school describes a five-level building with nearly 40 classrooms, a primary library, arts spaces and sports facilities. The announced capacity was six classes per year group—not a promise of current availability or class allocation.
05 / BEFORE YOU COMMIT
A clear route from
enquiry to enrolment.
01
Enquire & visit
Share the intended year group and start date with Danny or directly with ISP Admissions. Ask about places or waiting pools, tour arrangements, English support and learning needs before submitting an application.1413
02
Apply & prepare documents
Complete the school’s application requirements and pay the RM1,500 application fee. Request a current checklist for school records, identification, health information and immigration documents. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.815
03
Attend the assessment
Assessments are in person. Nursery/Reception meet the EYC team; Years 1–3 have a Primary assessment/interview; Years 4–13 use CAT4, a writing exercise and interview. Examination-year applicants may also need a course-options discussion.8
04
Review the offer & enrol
Successful applicants receive an offer. The fee document asks families to sign and pay registration within seven days. Check the offer, deposit, withdrawal notice, tax-inclusive fees and support conditions before accepting; coordinate housing and the start date afterwards.8
Check the place before the postcode
At the time of research, ISP’s enquiry page says the 2026/27 year is underway, with waiting pools in some year groups. It also invites applications for 2027/28 and 2028/29. Ask the school about the exact year, start date and assessment route; these are not live availability figures.
Moving from overseas? Start early.
The fee document requires students without a Malaysian passport to have a valid visa before starting, with a copy or approval letter given to Admissions. For a Student Pass, it recommends beginning at least three months ahead while MOE approval is in process. Ask Admissions to confirm the route and documents for your family; this is not a processing-time guarantee or immigration advice.

School visits and application steps are coordinated with ISP, subject to the school’s arrangements. All assessments, placement and admission decisions are made by ISP. You do not need to use Danny’s housing services to ask for school assistance.
07 / THE SCHOOL–HOME CONNECTION
Choose a home for the routine.
Not just the map pin.
Danny’s planning perspective: compare the actual door-to-gate journey, the after-school routine and your whole-family budget. A good home search should support the school decision—not pressure you into one.
Check the correct school gate
Early Years and older students have different published addresses. Ask which entrance your child uses. With siblings, plan the two drop-offs rather than measuring distance to a generic school pin.16
Test an ordinary morning
Visit the shortlisted home at school-run time. Walk or drive the real route, checking crossings, shade, rain cover, lift waiting and visitor access. This guide deliberately does not promise a five-minute commute.
Budget for life after class
Think about a quiet study corner, after-school activities, caregiver arrangements and whether a second car is needed. Compare the total school-and-home budget rather than school tuition or rent alone.
Coordinate timing, not promises
Align a confirmed school start, handover and tenancy commencement. Renting first may leave room to understand the routine before buying. Ask for each commitment in writing and keep school admission separate from the property transaction.

08 / QUESTIONS FAMILIES ASK
A few things worth clarifying.
Is ISP an IB school or an A-Level school?
Its published senior pathway is AS and A-Levels, not the IB Diploma. The AQA Baccalaureate mentioned by ISP is a different enrichment qualification. For a transfer, confirm the curriculum and examination board for the intended subjects.6
Does renting or buying in Desa ParkCity secure a place?
No place is guaranteed by a property transaction. Applications still go through assessment and school availability. Residence or ownership may support eligibility for the registration concession, which is separate from admission.8914
Can a child who is still learning English apply?
Ask for an assessment. ISP offers additional English support on a termly-paid basis when required, and reviews progress each term. A support programme is not an automatic offer of admission, nor a promise that every learning need can be met.813
Is the registration fee paid every year?
The published registration charges relate to entry. A specific RM10,000 top-up is listed for progression from Reception to Year 1. Ask about any other progression or re-entry situation. Tuition and the deposit adjustment are separate items.8
Is the deposit part of the annual tuition?
No. It is an additional refundable deposit equal to one term’s tuition, subject to the school’s refund conditions and annual adjustment. Do not count it twice as both deposit and tuition when comparing budgets.8
Are meals, buses and all clubs included?
Do not assume so. Teacher-led CCAs are free, while specialist activities may be charged. Ask for current meal, transport, uniform, examination and trip costs. These are not included in this calculator unless explicitly priced in its breakdown.1210
What should I check about academic results?
Use the school’s current results page as a starting point. Ask for cohort size, subject-level outcomes and progression guidance relevant to your child, rather than treating a headline percentage or a university name as an individual outcome guarantee.17
Which nearby development should our family choose?
Start with the school entrance, budget, move-in date and the family’s daily needs. Danny can help compare available homes using those priorities. No development is presented here as universally closest, best or guaranteed to have a vacancy.
